Age Requirements: All Renters must be at least 25 years of age with a valid current drivers license to
rent from Maui Classic Cruisers.
Driving Record: All renters must have good driving records. You may not have had your license revoked,
had a DUI, DWI, suspension within the last 5 years.
Insurance: Due to the types of vehicles we rent and the nature of the insurance industry, all renters
must carry their own liability and physical damage policies. All renter's must have full coverage (comp.
and collision) on their current car insurance policy to rent from us.
Additional Drivers: For an additional fee, additional drivers may be listed as authorized drivers. Each
additional driver must meet the same requirements as the primary Renter.
Inclement Weather: Due to the frequent inclement weather on Mt. Haleakala , we do not allow the
vehicle to travel above 6000 ft. We also prohibit the renter from driving if severe weather is
forecasted during the rental period. In these situations a refund and/or rental credit will be provided.
Please remember you are responsible for any and all damage to the vehicle.
Unpaved Roads: To maintain the pristine quality of our vehicles, they are prohibited from traveling on
unpaved & unimproved roads. This includes the back side of the West Maui Mountains, and the back side
of Haleakala.
Delivery / Pick-up: Vehicle delivery and pick-up is available to and from your door, or the airport.
Damage Deposit: All renters must leave a damage deposit in the form of a credit card authorization.
Any damage found on the vehicle upon return will be billed against this authorization.
Payment Methods: We currently accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover for payment of rental fees
and damage deposits.
Tickets: The renter is responsible for all parking, traffic, speeding or other tickets or violations
issued while the vehicle is being rented. This includes any fees, penalties, towing charges, or impound
costs.
Smoking/Eating/Drinking: For the pleasure of all future renters, we do not allow smoking in our
vehicles. Eating or drinking in the vehicles is also discouraged but not prohibited. A cleaning fee will
apply for spilled food or drinks.
Cleaning: If vehicle is returned excessively dirty, such that more than 2 hours of cleaning is required a
detailing charge will apply.
Traffic Accident: First, seek medical attention if needed. Contact the local police department and file
an accident report. Then, contact us so we are aware of the situation. Inside the glove box of each
vehicle is an envelope with procedures for handling accidents or mechanical breakdowns. Please follow
these procedures step by step to minimize your liability.
Vehicle Breakdown: Our vehicles are meticulously maintained on a continual basis, but in the unlikely
event of a vehicle breakdown, contact us and we will send help immediately. Inside the glove box of each
vehicle is an envelope with procedures for handling accidents or mechanical breakdowns. Please follow
these procedures step by step.
