Maui Classic Cruisers
Mike Waggoner of Maui Classic Cruisers wants to give you the ride of your life.
Maui Classic Cruisers’ owner Mike Waggoner wants to give you the best experience possible when it comes to cruising the Valley Isle, whether it’s in your own vehicle or in one of his stellar classic cars.
“I was looking to start a business that filled a niche different from everyone else, while at the same time, promoting my passion,” said Mike. “I love cars, and what I can do with them to make people happy.”
Cars have always been a part of this Oklahoma-bred boy’s life. Besides the fact that nearly every job he’s ever had has revolved around cars, his dad was a professional drag racer and his stepdad owned a body shop right in their backyard.
“Having a body shop so close really gave me the tools to learn wonderful skills when working with cars,” said Mike. “That was my college.”
Mike can even remember playing with Micro Machines and Hot Wheels vehicles.
“That’s all I ever played with,” he said. “I had tons of them and I was always trying to do something new. I even stole some of my mom’s nail polish to give them paint jobs.”
Now, Mike is all grown up and still playing with cars. His favorite “toys” are now his 1929 Ford Woody Wagon Street Rod and 1955 Ford Thunderbird, which he rents out for others to enjoy. You can relive your past or celebrate the future in one of these classic cruisers.
Perhaps you have a special occasion such as a wedding, or maybe you just want to look cool for a day while cruising the island in stylish blast-from-the past rides. These timeless “Hot Wheels” can provide a unique experience that you won’t forget.
“It’s great to give people the opportunity to drive something they normally wouldn’t,” said Mike. “Resident and visiting Street Rodders love them.”
The V-8 engine Thunderbird is perfect for weddings and makes for an unforgettable vacation experience. People will take notice of you as you steer this award-winning “Baby Bird” around town.
The Classic Model A sedan delivery wagon has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind Woody, perfect for sunset cruises.
Maui Classic Cruisers also offers a sweet, little picnic special—wicker basket, blanket and all—to go along with your experience.
“The passion has grown from renting my classic cars to offering detailing and a variety of services to customize others,” Mike said. “I know how important it is to have your very own personalized vehicle.”
Maui Classic Cruisers has one of Kihei’s hardest-working body shop owners, as Mike is the owner, installer and floor sweeper.
“Besides my dogs, Luki and Brother, I’m pretty much employee of the month, every month,” he laughed. “When I have big projects though, I have skilled tradesman that are more than willing to help out.”
Mike can make your wheels rock and roll with an array of services from customization work on tires, suspension, paint, tinting or just upgrading the comfort aspect.
“I provide all ‘after-market’ accessories to personalize your vehicle,” he said.
Mike can even upgrade your own “Maui Cruiser.” Put a little money into it to fit your style and needs (since you didn’t spend much buying it in the first place!).
“People aren’t looking to buy new cars and homes, so make what you have energy-efficient and valuable,” said Mike.
Mike expanded his “bamboo car shack” business to include tinting automobiles, homes and offices.
“Tinting film is such a great product,” said Mike. “It’s a huge benefit for homes, offices and vehicles. It’s environmentally good because it insulates to keep cold air inside, therefore using less air conditioning and gas and making a small step in helping our air stay cleaner.”
Protect your family’s home from harsh Maui sunbeams and save on energy bills while also controlling annoying glare, providing privacy and increasing comfort.
Tinting blocks 99 percent of UV rays and also reduces interior fading to provide quality longer when it comes to your home or auto.
With over 14 years of licensed and insured experience, Mike also provides tinting that is not only functional, but aesthetically delightful. He offers creative, artsy tinting and design to spice up your style and help you stay protected.
“My biggest goal is to make sure each and every customer is satisfied, whether it’s enjoying one of my classic cars, personalization or a tint job,” said Mike. “I love cars and I want to share my unique services with Maui’s visitors and residents alike.
“There’s nothing better than making people happy by doing what makes you happy,” he said.
For the month of February, if you tint your home or condo, your car tinting is free! Mike also offers free consultation and rate quotes for any of his services.
